Our three League of Ireland teams were in action over the weekend. Our Senior team travelled to Athlone Town looking for a fourth consecutive league win and raced into a 3-1 lead thanks to goals from Evan Galvin, Jack Watson and Kieran Marty Waters, his third goal in three games. The game looked to be out of sight and the three points secured but Athlone pulled a goal back from the penalty spot in the 91st minute and then scrambled in an equalier on 94 minutes. Pat Devlin’s side were temporarily top of the league and will be looking to reclaim that spot this Friday night at home against Shelbourne as they look to extend their unbeaten run to five games. Tickets for his match are available online now.

Our LOI 19s team travelled to Wexford for their third game of the season. Cabo found themselves 2-0 down in the first half but fought back to win 3-2 despite having a man sent off in the 35th minute. Conor Maguire scored Cabo’s first goal thanks to an overhead kick, Cian Lynch leveled the game with a goal from a set piece before Ross Moloney secured all three points for Cabo when he headed home a brilliant cross by Andrew McGovern.

Our LOI 17s team made the short trip to the Carlisle Grounds to take on Bray Wanderers on Sunday. In a very even game in which Cabo had a number of great chances, unfortunately it was not to be for them and Bray won 2-0 thanks to two second half goals.
