Last years captain and Cabo’s record appearance maker, Aaron Brilly, has signed back for 2017. Brilly has established himself as a fan favourite featuring throughout our first two seasons in the League of Ireland. Speaking on signing back for a third season Brilly said “I’m thrilled to have signed back for Cabo, this club means a lot to me, it really is a great club going places. ”
Cabo’s all time top goalscorer Joe Doyle has also committed to the club for 2017. Doyle who scored seven goals for Cabo’ last season expressed his delight at re-signing saying “It is brilliant to be back again for the new season, it is great to be involved in such an exciting time for the club. There is already a real buzz about the place, it is set to be a great season for everyone involved.”
Fellow striker Ollie Hamzat has also re-signed for the upcoming season. Hamzat said “I am absolutely delighted to have signed back for Cabo, it’s a big season ahead for the club and personally. I’m looking forward to helping the team achieve our targets and personally will be looking to add more goals to my game, something that was missing last year. I can’t wait to start working with the new gaffer, this is a brilliant club for me to continue my development.”
Pat Devlin has also re-signed last years ‘Player of the Year’, goalkeeper Michael Kelly. Kelly said “I’m delighted to be back at Cabo again this season. I’m really looking forward to the season ahead with all the positive changes that have taken place I think this year will be really successful for the club. I feel we can progress as a group of players and as a club and build on last years improvement.”
Last season’s ‘Young Player of the Year’ Paul Fox has also committed to Cabinteely for 2017. Fox progressed through our player pathway last season impressing first in our National League 17s and 19s before stepping up to make a number of appearances for our Senior team. Fox said “It’s great to be back with Cabinteely for the upcoming season, the whole squad is excited about the year ahead, hopefully big things happen, I’m really looking forward to it now!”
