Our National League 17s side are still in contention to qualify from their group with just five games remaining. Cabo currently sit in third position joint on 14 points with four placed Wexford Youths but Cabo have a superior goal difference. Cabo travel to Wexford Youths this Sunday in a crucial game, kick off is 2pm. Last time the sides met, Cabo won 1-0 at Stradbrook.

The 17s league is divided into 3 groups, the top two in each group automatically qualify for the knockout stages, with the two best third placed teams also qualifying.

Hugh Colhoun’s side dropped points at the weekend after playing out a nil all stalemate with Bray Wanderers at Stradbrook. This was the first time all season that Cabo had not scored in a game.

Two of their final few games are against Cork City and Waterford United who are first and second respectively, so it is still all to play for and Cabo could clinch second spot yet.
